The Church of St Nicholas

Originally probably a wooden church was rebuilt in the Gothic style in 1422. There are four bells hung in the tower: the biggest Bell – “Saint Nicholas” and since 1991 three new bells – “St. Barbara and St Hedwig” “True Cross” and “St Mother of God”. On the eastern side there is the main altar with the largest painting of the whole church: St Nicholas and St John. A significant native of Bílovec Felix Ivo Leicher (b. 1721 in Bílovec) is the author of the painting. There is an organ of 1896 on the organ-loft. The church tower and steeple together with the ball top were reconstructed in 2013 and opened to the public for a visit. The tower now functions as a lookout from May to September.
